Kentucky Agricultural Council

In order to advance the agenda of “A Pathway for Kentucky Agriculture and its Rural Communities:  2007 to 2012 Strategic Plan”, the KAC has established six committees, corresponding to the six Core Strategies of the Plan.

The committees are charged with implementing the specific Goals and Actions outlined in the “Pathway” document, and are responsible for seeing that the accountability Benchmarks established for the Plan are met.  Committees also are charged with recommending changes and updates to the specific Goals and Actions to reflect the progress that has been made, or new needs and issues that have been identified.  This ensures that the Plan remains a “living document”, responding to emerging trends and opportunities.

Participation on KAC committees is open to representatives from all Kentucky Agricultural Council member organizations, as well as to outside interested parties.  For information regarding individual committees and the opportunity to participate in their activities, contact the respective committee Chair or send us a message through the Contact KAC page.
